Thiruvananthapuram: Milma is all set to launch two innovative products, Cashew Vita Powder and bottled Tender Coconut Water, as part of the cooperative dairy major’s initiatives to meet the market demand for authentic and high-quality health products.
Minister for Animal Husbandry & Dairy Development, Smt J Chinchu Rani will launch the new products in the presence of Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan at a function organised by the Dairy Development Department and Milma on Oct 05. The CM will launch the Ksheerashree portal, an online portal for the seamless collection and distribution of milk from dairy cooperatives, at the event.
Cashew Vita Powder is a cashew-based health drink introduced by Milma in association with Kerala State Cashew Development Corporation. The product, developed at the Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysuru, is a healthier alternative to other health drinks available now at the market. Manufactured using the latest technology, Cashew Vita can be stored for six months and can be consumed by mixing with milk. The product now comes in three flavours – Pista, Chocolate and Vanilla in packets of 250 gm.
An irreplaceable natural drink of Kerala society, tender coconut water, is now processed and bottled by Milma without losing any of its nutritional value. With an aim to popularise the product both in local and international markets, Milma’s Tender coconut water is processed using the latest technology without any human contact during processing. The product comes in 200ml bottles and can be used for nine months from the manufacturing date. The product is priced at Rs 40 per bottle.
As part of ‘Repositioning Milma 2023’- a project to unify Milma products based on their design, quantity and price, Milma has introduced many value-added products into the market, apart from its milk, ghee and curd.
Milma’s premium chocolate Deliza, Osmania butter cookies, butter drops etc, Instant Pulissery Mix, and ready-to-drink Palada Payasam etc are the other new products launched in the market that are now in high demand.
